The client occupies an existing one story administrative building directly west of the site for the proposed new building. Although the existing building was expanded in 2005, HOV had quickly outgrown the facility and needed to expand its office and parking capabilities.
The new two-story building is organized in open neighborhoods, taking advantage of natural light from both sides of the building. The ceiling is designed using variable materials and lighting and creating definition in an otherwise open space. Conference and training rooms are enclosed in a glass storefront to maintain an open feeling. Environmentally friendly materials such as wood, cork and recycled carpet tiles are used throughout the building. A natural palette of blues and greens dominates the paint palette.
